ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh did not report any fresh COVID-19 case in the past two days, a senior health department official said on Friday.
The total caseload in the northeastern state stood at 16,829, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) LobsangJampa said.
One more person recuperated from the disease on Thursday taking the number of recoveries in the state to 16,765, the official said.
Arunachal Pradesh currently has 8 active COVID-19 cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection so far.
The recovery rate in the state has touched 99.61 per cent, while the positivity ratio stands at 0.04 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.33 per cent, the official said.
Altogether, 3,94,542 samples have been tested for COVID-19, including 662 on Thursday, the SSO said.
The Capital Complex Region comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas has the highest number of active cases at three.
State Immunization Officer (SIO) DimongPadung said 17,919 health workers, have received vaccine shots so far including, 1,043 on Thursday.
The health department has been carrying out the inoculation drive four days a week — Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Seven persons reportedly developed after effects following immunization, the SIO said.
The state has received a total of 32,000 doses of Covishield vaccines from the Centre until now.
