ITANAGAR: Hundreds of aspirants resorted to protest outside the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) office, demanding re-conduct of skill test in the recently held examination of stenographer.

Speaking to the media at the premise of APSSB office here on Tuesday, general secretary of Unemployed Stenography Association of Arunachal Pradesh (USAAP), Boria Tuki alleged that due to sudden change in Recruitment Rules (RR) and software by the board authority, none of the aspirants could clear the skill test. He informed that more than 2,000 aspirants had appeared for the skill test held recently from January 29 to January 31.

He also added that the test was supposed to be held through computerized audio dictation like Staff Selection Commission (SSC) but in the APSSB skill test, they used manual process due to which the already set answers in the software were not detected during the manual process.

"They have also changed the rule a day before the examination without informing the candidates. Therefore, we urged the APSSB to re-conduct the examination of stenographer as per rules," he added.
