Assam Rifles conducts awareness drive on Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY)

CHANGLANG: The Changlang Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), organized an awareness campaign on the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) at its camp near here on Monday.

This campaign was primarily aimed to create awareness and educate local residents about benefits of the AB-PMJAY scheme. Lectures, power point presentations and videos were showcased so as to make the subject interesting and understood.

Various queries of the participants were also answered during the session.

It was also informed to the participants that the AR battalion unit hospital is also a PMJAY empanelled hospital since February, 2022. It provides health cover up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for cashless medical treatment.

It includes secondary and tertiary care centres and covers pre-existing diseases.

The campaign was attended by more than hundreds of civilians and medical staff from the district hospital.
