Itanagar: A day-long workshop on an awareness campaign in connection with Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS), Poshan Maah and De-worming was organized by Tirap district administration on Wednesday in collaboration with ICDS and health department at Borduria in which GBs, chiefs, interim PRIs members, students, Anganwadi workers, and ASHAs actively participated.
While administering the pledge Borduria Circle Officer (CO) Lim Modi said that there would be three phases of SHS in which the first phase would be on preparation and awareness campaign on ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’ which began from September 11 last and would continue till October 1 next.
The second phase would be held on October 2 as ‘shramdan’ and the third phase would begin from October 3 which would continue till October 27 where the urban development department would collect and dispose of recycle and disposable plastic wastes to ensure plastic free Diwali, the CO said.
The CO appealed the people not to throw away or burn plastic waste in prominent areas but should be kept in a particular place which would be collected by the UD department for recycle and disposal, an official release informed here.
Khonsa Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) N Matey highlighted about Poshan Maah Abhiyan and PMMVY and urged all the Anganwadi workers to be more dedicated and practical in discharging their duties for successful achievement of the target, the release added.
