Bagra & Team Take Stock of Mega Food Park near Dolikota village

BANDERDEWA: Industries, Trade & Commerce, Skill Development Minister Tumke Bagra visited the proposed site for the Mega Food Park (MFP) near Dolikota village in Banderdewa circle on Monday.

Inspecting the proposed site, Bagra informed that the State Government is optimistic to provide all support and facilities for a better road connectivity, perennial water supply and proper power supply to the MFP and assured its early completion.

The Minister was accompanied by officers from the Agriculture, Horticulture, and Industries departments.

The team inspected the area and discussed the issue related to road connectivity and other issues of the area and passed necessary directions to the officers so that important components and support of State Government is extended.

Speaking to the media persons, Bagra said, “The schemes have been approved and sanctioned and we are optimistic to start work on the facility soon”. He also informed that due to few technical problems and other formalities, the work has been delayed.

He also said that to invite more investors, the department will initiate other programmes. The department is also meeting up with other stakeholders to invite investors for establishing industries in the State, he added.

Bagra thanked the Central Government for approving the MFP in Arunachal Pradesh. He thanked Union Minister of State for Food Processing Ramehswar Teli, MOS (Sports & YA) Kiren Rinjiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu for pursuing the Central Government for the MFP in the State.

Bagra further said that all like-minded investors who are willing to invest in State will be also equally welcomed and necessary incentives will be provided.

Meanwhile, lead promoter of the MFP, Likha Maj said that after the approval of the Industrial Policy by the State Cabinet, big businessmen and investors will now be able to invest in the State. Around 50 acres of land is leasable where investors can set up their units, he added.

He also requested the State Government to organize an investors meet so that other investors can learn and venture in to the State.
