ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday discussed with State Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra various developmental issues to be taken up in the ensuing 68th plenary of North Eastern Council (NEC) at Guwahati on September 8 and 9.
The Governor suggested the Chief Mnister to take up vital issues during the NEC meet including, security, road communication, health, education, youth development and employment generating sectors on priority.
Issues of skill development, infrastructural development and law & order in the state need to be attended on priority, the governer pointed out.
The Governor and the Chief Mnister also discussed on celebration of the ensuing 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an official communiqué informed.
Dr Mishra shared his observations with the Chief Mnister about his recent tour to Vijoynagar, Miao, Jairampur, Nampong and Pangsau Pass in Changlang district.
The Governor reiterated the need for expediting the Miao-Vijoynagar Road and the early inauguration of the trade and commerce activities at the Indo-Myanmar haats on the Pangsau Pass for the welfare of the people, the communiqué added.
