ITANAGAR: The BJP Mukto Mandal unit refuted the allegation reported in few sections of the media about discrimination in work allocation and physical assault on an elderly person on a party-line, on Friday.
BJP Mukto Mandal president Lhakpa Dondup in a press statement refuted the report where allegations were made by a handful of villagers from Khet Village citing discriminatory remarks and physically assaulting one elderly person on party lines.
He said that the question of work allotment to BJP workers is completely false and fabricated. “The work goes through a tendering process and the execution of work is a prerogative of the contractor concerned and the party has no say in it,” Dhondup said while informing that the tender process has been completed and has been awarded after completion of all the official formalities.
Dhondup said that it is a desperate attempt on the part of Opposition Congress to malign the image of BJP.
He further stated that the alleged perpetrator of the said incident ‘Lanka’ is neither an active member of BJP nor an office-bearer.
“Following the dictum of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”, the BJP Mukto Mandal has always maintained transparency and equity in all the developmental works in 3rd Mukto Legislative Assembly Constituency,” he further added.
