Bordumsa MLA Somlung Mossang to provide scholarships to students

BORDUMSA: In a bid to encourage the students and aspirants of Bordumsa- Diyun areas of Arunachal's Changlang district, particularly the economically challenged section, the local legislator Somlung Mossang, through official notification, has announced scholarships for the session 2020 -2021.

Dr. Devash Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner of Changlang, while interacting with The Sentinel, said that the one-time scholarship would be provided to students pursuing higher education, including graduation and post graduation, besides the aspirants preparing for any state or union-level competitive examinations. The scholarship would be provided for the current academic session from the MLA Local Area Development Funds.

According to official notification C/DPU/ MLALADS/SCHOLARSHIP/ BSA /20-21, the intending students or aspirants of the said constituency may apply for the benefits on or before August 9 to dpochanglang@gmail.com on a prescribed format.

According to Dr Yadav, a three-member panel constituted for the purpose would shortlist the qualifiers based on specific parameters and benefits would be credited directly into their respective bank accounts.

"I have seen practically how the poverty- hit students suffer in life and talents go waste in society due to poor and unstable financial condition at home. So I am happy to dedicate a part of MLA LAD funds for keen and ambitious students," said Somlung Mossang, the legislator, adding, "I am ready to extend all possible help in the days to come for the sake of education."
