ROING: The department of Women and Child Development (WCD) conducted a capacity-building training on Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Growth Monitoring Device (GMD) and POSHAN Tracker for CDPOs, Supervisors, ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers under ICDS projects at Anchal Samiti Hall near here on Tuesday.

State Nodal Officer for PMMVY and POSHAN Abhiyan DK Thungon highlighted important guidelines in the implementation of the scheme. While SMO Dr. Saga Migri spoke on topics related to maternal and child health, various procedures and importance of Ante-Natal Check Ups (ANCs), other doctors present briefed the gathering on child birth, menstruation, Janani Suraksha Yojana, vaccination etc.

Meanwhile, CDPO (Dambuk) Ijum Doye Bui spoke on the steps in registration for the PMMVY Scheme, necessary instructions for filling up application Form 1-A, Form 1-B, Form 1-C and documents required for registration of 1st installment, 2nd installment and 3rd installment. Those present at the event were imparted training on a brief overview of the scheme, roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders of the scheme, conditionalities required for availing the benefits, beneficiary application processing, do's and don'ts related to the scheme and evaluation and monitoring of modalities.

They were also trained on the proper use of various Growth Monitoring Devices (GMDs) by the resource persons. A preliminary and brief overview of the POSHAN Tracker Application for Mobile Phone was also presented.

The programme concluded with a Q&A session with the resource persons where various doubts and grievances were put forth regarding PMMVY Scheme, GMD and POSHAN Tracker Application.
