ITANAGAR: The Department of Education, Indira Gandhi Government College, Tezu, organized a departmental seminar through the smart classroom of the college on the topic "Types of Guidance" (Educational, Vocational, and Personal)" sponsored by Indira Gandhi Government College on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Dr. Kangki Megu said that higher education is for the creation of knowledge and the seminar is a platform by which we can develop critical outlook and approach that will lead to the creation of new knowledge.
He further advised the students to take the guidance of their teachers and other professionals for educational, vocational and personal purposes.
Earlier, Education HOD Dr. Tage Yama while welcoming dignitaries, faculties and students, advised the students to take this opportunity as a platform to build up confidence and combat the fear of nervousness.
"Guidance is universal in nature and each and every individual requires guidance at all stages of life," Assistant Professor of Education Dr. SK Pradhan said while adding that educational, vocational and personal guidance can go a long way in helping children accomplish their goals.
Meanwhile, HoD of Hindi Dr. MS Sharma narrated the importance of guidance in nurturing human values in the heart and minds of the students. The seminar was attended by more than 140 students and faculties of other departments.
