ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra on Thursday advised newly-appointed Chief Secretary Dharmendra to closely monitor all development projects to ensure quality and timely implementation.

The Governor's advice came when the Chief Secretary met him at Raj Bhawan here during a courtesy call.

Mishra said that the benefits of State and Central schemes and programmes should reach the targeted people and also the last person in the queue.

The Governor shared his observations of development activities, education and health facilities in remote border areas. He asked the Chief Secretary to review the educational centres and public security on a regular basis.

The Governor also advised the Chief Secretary to establish an effective, responsive and prompt communication, compliance and people friendly interaction system with all the 26 Deputy Commissioners of the State, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed here.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology, Bamang Mangha along with Secretary Remo Kamki and all the senior officers of the department, called on the newly-appointed Chief Secretary during the day.

The Chief Secretary, who assumed office on Thursday, expressed his hope to work for the betterment of the State with the cooperation of all.
