ITANAGAR: A sudden cloudburst triggered a devastating flood in a village in Shi-Yomia district in Arunachal Pradesh, causing massive damage on Saturday. The cloudburst in Lhallung village near Mechukha, the district headquarter, during the wee hours caused massive damage to two power stations, disrupting power supply to Mechuka township and its adjoining areas, an official report informed here. Flood water also ravaged agricultural fields, standing crops, houses, the water supply, and livestock. However, no loss of human life was reported, the report said.
