Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Urban Development, Town Planning, Urban Local Bodies and Govt Estates Minister Kamlung Mossang while assessing the progress of all ongoing projects of the department under Itanagar Capital Complex expressed satisfaction at the progress of work on MLA Cottage at Chimpu and senior officers’ flats at Zoo road, here.
The minister has directed the officers to come up with modalities for the allocation of 576 rented accommodations under Rajiv Awas Yojna (RAY) and 47 numbers of 1BHK, BPL family accommodations under Basic Urban Service for Poor (BSUP) schemes.
He asked the implementing agencies to prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) for solar lighting facilities of the BPL accommodations located at Lekhi village at Nirjuli in absence of regular power supply to meet the energy requirement of the needy families, an official communiqué informed.
Kamlung Mossang also directed the UD dept to prepare estimate for augmentation of the existing inter-state truck terminals to convert existing godown into a cold storage in order to facilitate the storage of agri-horti products by local farmers before transporting it to other states.
Assuring to take up with the Centre for additional fund requirements to meet the gap funding, if any, for roofing and high mass lightings of the outdoor stadium, he instructed the implementing agencies to complete all ongoing projects by end of November this year, the communiqué added.
