COVID-19 tally rises to 55,089 with 14 fresh cases in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: The COVID tally in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 55,089 after 14 fresh cases were detected in the north-eastern State, a senior health department official said here on Sunday.

The COVID-19 death toll in the frontier state remained at 280, as no new fatality was reported in the last 24 hours, the official said. Arunachal Pradesh now has 142 active COVID-19 cases, while 54,667 people have recuperated from the disease thus far, including 13 on Saturday, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The coronavirus recovery rate in the State now stands at 99.23 per cent while the percentage of active cases stood at 0.26, he said.

A total of 12,85,053 people have been inoculated in the State so far, State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung said.
