ITANAGAR: Har Ghar Dastak and Har School Dastak, the Covid-19 vaccination programme for 12-17 years children, was launched on Wednesday at the Kamle district of Arunachal Pradesh by Deputy Commissioner Adong Pertin, which was organized by the District Health Society at Hutho Middle School, run by Arunachal Vikash Parishad.
Encouraging all the eligible children of the school to avail the vaccine, Pertin informed that the Government has been bearing all the cost for the vaccine which is safe and most effective for Coronavirus.
The DC also shared the harrowing experiences of the lockdown 1 and 2 and requested all the children to get the jabs immediately saying that Covid virus do not discriminate on the basis of age, sex and religion.
"If we all get vaccinated our society will be immune and free from the virus," he added.
DRCHO Dr Kapu Sopin explained in details the aim and objectives of Har Ghar Dastak and Har School Dastak to all the participants.
15 children out of whom 11 were girls, received their first dose of COBEVAX during the day, official sources informed.
