DC Mitali Namchoom celebrates birthday of 32 children at Child Care Institute

ROING: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom attended the unique and joyous celebration of the birthday of 32 children presently residing at the Child Care Institute (CCI) here under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme, on Monday.

The ‘Janmotsav’ celebration is sponsored under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme and was attended by the Secretary Tax & Excise Anirudh Singh, SP S K Sain, Deputy Director (ICDS) GA Perying, officers and invitees.

CCI chairperson Desai Linggi expressed her gratitude to all guests for thinking about the welfare of the children and making the day special for them through their contributions. “This small gesture of celebrating their birthday and giving them gifts and making them feel loved will bring happiness to the children’s lives,” she added.

Mitali Namchoom informed that the CCI presently has 32 children from 7 districts of Arunachal Pradesh. She also spoke on the need of sponsorship to keep the CCI functional and running.
