ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr. B D Mishra on Sunday called for creating a strong bond of love and trust amongst people across all societies.
Interacting with social activists on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan at Raj Bhavan here, the Governor said that the festival of Raksha Bandhan honours the emotional bond of brothers and sisters, which flourishes on love, mutual respect, and compassion. He said that the festival was the best example of the unique place of affection traditionally accorded to women in our society. On the special occasion, Mishra conveyed his greetings to the Arunachali brothers and sisters.
The Governor urged upon the people to develop all inclusive tolerance and mutual respect and strengthen the spirit of help for promoting fraternity in the society. He appealed to the people to build brotherhood and goodwill to ensure national solidarity.
