ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), while appreciating Chief Minister Pema Khandu's survey of Package-B and C on Monday, appealed to Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom to disburse the compensation money of Package –B for early commencement of work.

Addressing the media at the APCC office here on Monday, president of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal (APCSD), Kipa Kaha said that the compensation money had already been received by the State Government and was pending since many years, which the people were aware of. He said that the APCC sought a white paper on the matter from the DC or the State Government. "Though we are from different political parties, we appreciate and also encourage any goodwill initiative for the public by the present State government. However, the underpass at Bank-Tinali should be completed as per assurance given by the State government," he said.

The APCC also appealed to the State government to provide sufficient funds to the highway department for the maintenance of highway roads. "We also appeal to Chief Minister Pema Khandu to design a proper roadmap to complete the by-pass at Borum village for public convenience, which has been delayed for many years," he added.

Earlier, the APCC members visited the highway construction agency, PWD and urged for early completion of the national highway of Package-B and C.
