E rickshaws will not only serve people but also minimize pollution: Minister Mama Natung

ITANAGAR: The Environment and Forest Minister, Mama Natung, said that the E-Rickshaw will not only serve as a convenience service for visitors visiting the Itanagar Biological Park but also minimize pollution and the safety of the animals in the park.

Natung, who flagged off a pair of E-Rickshaws for the Itanagar Biological Park here on Friday, said that it is a move to avoid air pollution and sound, which in a way hampers the peace of the animals by allowing the entry of personal vehicles. Moreover, the vehicle will also serve as a means of transport for the visitors.

He said that as the biological park covers a large area, it is an issue for visitors to visit the entire area by foot. Thus, with the launch of the E-Rickshaw, visitors can now effortlessly visit every single area of the park with ease.

Natung also informed that the procurement of more such e-rickshaws is in the pipeline. Though such an initiative was ignored by the past government, the present BJP government is ensuring to integrate every possible facility in the park for the convenience of visitors as well as the animals.

“I believe the E-Rickshaw will serve its purpose and will be beneficial for the visitors,” he added.
