Early Child Care and Education centre inaugurated at Jia, Roing

ROING: MLA Gum Tayeng on Friday inaugurated an Early Child Care and Education (ECCE) Centre at Jia. Addressing the gathering, Gum Tayeng urged all the parents to send their children to the centre regularly to build a strong foundation at the pre-primary level. The children will be taught jointly by the Anganwadi workers and regular teachers of the school by devising and developing child-centric play ways and activity-based methods and techniques.

She handed over the keys to the ECCE room along with the materials to the Anganwadi workers of the three feeder Anganwadi centres—Jia, Bolik, and Parbuk—and wished for its proper functioning with visible outcomes in the near future. She also blessed the children, saying that with the presence and flutter of these little butterflies, the garden of the school would look more beautiful, attractive, and fascinating.

Among others, Roing Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mamta Yadav, Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) Deepak Tayeng, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Minli Tasar, GBs, PRI members, parents, Anganwadi workers, teachers, and ECCE children were present on the day.
