BORDUMSA: Arunachal’s Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said, “I never maintained ego because I was taught in this line by my teachers during my formative years in school. I was not a brilliant student in my academic graph during the early schooling period but cultivated all civic virtues, which I strongly believe are shaping my life till date”.

Chowna Mein was addressing the budding talents of the 2nd IRBN English Medium Welfare School along with the guardians and jawans of the unit during a programme held after inaugurating a series of eight infra projects within the compound of the 2nd IRBN Headquarter at Diyun in Arunachal’s Changlang district. The senior most and high voltage leader of Arunachal’s politics was accompanied by local legislator Somlung Mossang, Sunny Kumar Singh, the Deputy Commissioner Changlang, Isaac IPS Pertin, and CK Mein, IPS, the two IGPs of TCL and Namsai Range, respectively.

Being accompanied by Somlung Mossang and other dignitaries, the Deputy CM inaugurated and dedicated various projects, including a multipurpose hall, type IV quarters, a ladies barrack, a solar power plant, a guest house, an e-learning class, the school library, an outdoor gym, and a MT shed within the headquarters campus.

Somlung Mossang, terming the event as very significant, expressed his gratitude to Chowna Mein for his contribution and blessing towards the development of the Bordumsa-Diyun constituency, congratulating the unit for the developmental boost that would definitely serve the purpose of the 2nd IRBN fraternity in Diyun.

Meanwhile, lauding the efforts and pro-developmental outlook of the commandant, 2nd IRBN Diyun IPS Akanksha Yadav, the DCM, who was the chief guest on the occasion, assured of all possible help to make the headquarters a model upstanding unit in the state. Appreciating the local talents showcasing various cultural presentations, the DCM encouraged the students to exhibit their talents and avail themselves of the multiple platforms encouraged and promoted by the Arunachal government on different levels.

The Deputy CM said that the present government has also taken up various projects to promote the most visited religious sites like Parsuram Kund, etc., as Arunachal is intricately related to various pilgrimage places that the world appreciates.
