Election training for April 11 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections

Itanagar: The election authorities of Tawang district on Wednesday imparted training to the sector officers for April 11 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State. Circle Officer (Election) Tashi Wangchu Thongdok and Tawang Superintendent of Police SS Kalsi imparted the training which was followed by hands-on training on EVM and VVPAT for sector officers, an official release informed here. After the briefing, District Election Officer (DEO) Sang Phuntsok took reports from the sector officers about the assured minimum facilities in polling stations under them and recorded the problems placed by the sector officers.

Phuntsok also chaired a meeting cum briefing to the Nodal officers appointed for smooth conduct of elections. The DEO informed the nodal officers about round-the-clock toll free telephone No. 1950 for registration of grievances and complaints related to election. He further added that person with disability are to be given special care and a nodal officer in this regard has also been appointed.

Phuntsok also informed about C-Vigil and Suvidha apps, the release added.
