Itanagar: A three-day financial inclusion outreach initiative programme as per directives of the Department Financial Services (DFS) under the Union Finance Ministry was launched here on Wednesday.
The programme was launched by SBI Dibrugarh Deputy General Manager (B&O) Uttam Kumar Hazra Chowdhury.
The thrust of programme, inter alia is on providing credit to entrepreneurs belonging to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and ensuring saturation of KCC loan for PM Kishan beneficiaries.
Arunachal Pradesh has more than 66,000 registered PM Kishan beneficiaries and bank’s target is to provide KCC loan to all such eligible farmers under this category. Bank branches have been advised with the list of such farmers by the DFS.
In addition to this, enrolment under the social security scheme of PMJJBY (premium of Rs 330.00 per annum) and PMSBY (premium of Rs 12.00 per annum) will also be carried out.
All the scheduled banks including private sector banks and co-operative banks participated in the programme.
Creation of awareness, on the spot online as well as offline submission of loan application forms, in-principle sanction wherever applicable from the basis of this programme.
