ITANAGAR: The aggrieved aspirants, under the banner of Mission Agriculture Development Office (ADO), have lodged an FIR against ADO Namsai Tiprami Manglong for forgery to get the job and demanded immediate termination from her job and an inquiry from the Enforcement Directorate.
Armed with RTI documents, aspirants allege that Tiprami Manglong, who is originally from Narayanpur in North Lakhimpur District, Assam, has obtained a Schedule Tribe certificate from Namsai, applied for the ADO examination 2021–22 conducted by the APPSC, and also cleared the examination.
Addressing the media on Sunday, one of the aspirants said that Tiprami Manglong has a dual identity because of her caste; she took education benefits from Assam by producing a Schedule Tribe Certificate obtained from Assam. She completed her M.Sc. (Agri) from the College of Agriculture, Jorhat, Assam, and during her admission to the said college she used an ST certificate obtained from the Assam government, wherein it is also clearly mentioned in her PRC.
“Manglong is the permanent residence of Shribhuyan village of Narayanpur under Lakhimpur district,” added aspirants. Expressing serious concern over the lackadaisical attitude of the APPSC authority and Deputy Commissioner Namsai for their failure in scrutiny, the members also claimed people holding high posts must have had their hands in gloves in this incident.
The aspirant also said that there would not be any issue if she cleared the exam on the non-APST/unreserved quota but with the result of APPSC-2022. Whereas, it is clearly mentioned that she got the job under the APST quota.
“The forgery has reduced one seat for genuine APST candidates. She must be terminated, and ED must investigate the matter,” the aspirant added.
The aggrieved aspirants also slammed the police authority for not registering a case against the alleged ADO-Namsai. And, informed that the aspirants have already lodged an FIR in Naharlagun Police Station on April 1, but surprisingly, it has been more than a week since the police have been reluctant to register the case and take any action. Such an attitude by the police proves that there are some big names behind such a mess.
