ITANAGAR: At least nine family left homeless after fire incident that broke on out in a rented (SPT) house at ESS sector on Sunday here. No casualty has been reported but properties worth lakh lost in the inferno. The neighbors informed that the fire was caught due to short circuit in the wire. It was also informed that the fire broke out around 5.30 am in the morning. Immediately after procuring information of the fire, the fire tenders rushed to the spot and minimized the fire.
Getting the news of the incident, BJP state Vice President cum National Council Member, Tame Phassang visited the family members of fire victims. Phassang extended financial assistance to the nine victims’ families as an immediate relief from his own expenses .while interacting with the fire victims, he assured to convey the message to Chief Minister Pema Khandu and concern department to release immediate compensation. ‘I appeal the chief Minister and concern department to confer immediate compensation beyond the laid down norms as the victims have lost everything in the inferno and being the state capital, the basic amenities could be much costlier than other places as well as victims has to re-start everything ’ asserted Phassang.
Further, Phassang also appreciated the youths of the ESS sector for extending support to the victims by clearing the damaged item, ashes and erecting temporary shelter for the victim families.
