ITANAGAR: With five more persons testing positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, the State's tally has risen to 16,732. Meanwhile, seven more patients were cured from the infection on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 16,583, said State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa.
The recovery rate is 99.10 per cent. As on date, the State has 93 active cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection. The fatality ratio is 0.33 per cent. Of the fresh asymptomatic cases detected through Rapid Antigen Tests, four were reported from Tawang and one from Lepa Rada district. The Capital Complex region — comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas — has the highest number of active cases at 33, followed by Tawang (21), East Siang (11) and West Kameng (10).
The State has so far tested 3,79,261 samples for COVID-19, including 335 on Sunday, while the positivity rate stood at 0.55 per cent, added Dr Jampa.
