BORDUMSA: The first nominated female MLA of Arunachal's Bordumsa, who had represented the Singpho community soon after the 1978 Assembly election, joins Somlung Mossang, the independent legislator of 49 Bordumsa Diyun General Assembly Constituency, here formally on Monday afternoon. More than 150 members hailing from the Singpho and Khamti communities belonging to 8 different villages of Bordumsa Subdivision were formally inducted into the Independent family during a programme organised for the purpose here at the residence of the MLA Mossang at Bordumsa in Changlang district.
Expressing his contentment at the overall performance and secular outlook of the MLA Mossang, Sindunong Singpho, the former ZPM Bordumsa, according to his allegiance, said that the present MLA, enjoying massive support from his people of all strata, would go uncontested in the next assembly election slated for early 2024. 'He is a secular and down-to-earth Tangsa leader having close affinity with the Singpho and Khamti people," said the Singpho leader, adding, 'We would stand by his side and strengthen his part base'.
Earlier on April 28, a group of Khamti supporters with different political affiliations hailing from Innao Sengmai village under Diyun circle merged with the independent team led by the legislator Mossang. Elated at the overwhelming response of the highly spirited supporters desirous to shift their allegiance, Khachang Maio, the ZPM Bordumsa, during his welcome address, hailed the decision of the Singpho and Khamti brethren to extend open support to the incumbent MLA with an objective to serve society in a more effective and innovative way. Assuring the new members of all possible efforts to bring in balanced development besides promoting the overall interest of the constituency, Mossang said that he would try to deliver well within the expectations of the people.
