Galo Students’ Union (GSU) Lodges Complaint Against Encroachment

Itanagar: The Galo Students’ Union (GSU) has lodged a complaint with Lower Siang deputy commissioner about the encroachment of land allotted for Government Higher Secondary School at Likabali, the district headquarters. Stating that large-scale encroachments of land allotted for the school have taken place, the GSU has demanded the DC to free the encroached lands from the illegal occupation of the encroachers by carrying out eviction drive. The GSU also demanded proper demarcation of the school land to curb such illegal encroachment stating that absence of school boundary is encouraging the land encroachment. The students’ union further demanded the DC to initiate actions against the school land encroachers as per the law, a press release informed here on Thursday.
