Gauhati High Court Judge calls on Arunachal Governor BD Mishra

ITANAGAR: Judge of Itanagar permanent bench of Gauhati High Court, Justice Marli Vankung on Friday called on Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra at Raj Bhawan here. It was a courtesy call, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed here on Saturday.

The Governor shared his observations about the courts in the state, their infrastructure, manpower and the general court matters with the judge. He emphasized the pressing need to make the Itanagar Bench of Gauhati High Court a full-fledged High Court.

Mishra highlighted the need for creating more awareness of judicial options and remedies amongst the womenfolk and the weaker section of the society, the communiqué added.
