Governor BD Mishra conveys greetings on Indigenous Faith Day

Itanagar: Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra on Saturday conveyed his good wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Indigenous Faith Day.

The Governor expressed his hope that the celebration of the day would inspire all to carry forward the indigenous faith system.

In his message to the people, Dr Mishra said that Indigenous Faith Day reflects the unique cultural heritage of the indigenous people of the state.

“It reinforces our distinctive Indian cultural characteristic which is ‘unity in diversity’. In order to strengthen this spirit, the cultures and traditions of the indigenous peoples must remain vibrant and alive,” he said.

He expressed his optimism that the occasion would also give impetus to the endeavours of the intellectuals and elders of the indigenous community in fine-tuning the traditional practices with the march of time.

“On this joyous occasion, I offer my prayers to almighty to invoke his blessings for each one of us,” the governor added in his message.
