Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra has felicitated meritorious students and Gaon Burahs of Nafra, an ADC headquarters in West Kameng district on Tuesday.
The Governor, who is on his maiden visit to the district, expressed his hope that the students would continue to excel in the academic sphere and be a role model for their peers and friends.
He also commended their teachers and school authorities and felicitated the Gaon Burahs of the administrative circle, a Raj Bhawan communique informed here.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor advised the students to study hard to become useful citizens of the country and not just for certificates. He asked them to study to enhance their potential and capability to become entrepreneurs and job providers.
“Even in Scandinavian countries, where the population growth is negative, government jobs for the young workforce falls short,” he said.
Addressing the Gaon Burahs, the Governor said that they are the eyes and ears of the Government and they must actively involved in the development process and ensure proper implementation of government programmes and policies, the communique added.
