'Hindi Month -2022' Launched in RGU

RONO HILLS (DOIMUKH), Sept 2: A month-long 'Hindi Month -2022', co-ordinated by Hindi Cell, RGU, Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated at Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) here on Thursday. The programme commenced with the greetings and objectives of Hindi Month Celebration-2022 by Gumpi Nguso, Hindi Officer, RGU.

She stated, "This year the theme of the celebration is that Hindi is not limited only to the teaching learning process but Hindi has a massive dimension of research, technology, science, business, employment, entertainment, creative writing, etc." She further added that 15 lecture series would be organized to enhance the dimensions of Hindi in different contemporary fields, where eminent personalities from different field all over the country will deliver the lecture.

Besides literary and cultural activities, a short film titled Arunachal Pradesh mein Hindi: Ek Darshaneeye Bhavishy – a combined production of the Mass Communication Department of RGU & Hindi Cell, RGU– will be screened in the valedictory programme on September 30 at RGU,Convention Hall.

Dean of Language, RGU, Prof. Oken Lego highlighted the importance and& values of the Hindi in the field of education. Keynote speaker Vandana Tete, renowned tribal litterateur from Jharkhand, addressed the session and highlighted the inter-relationship of Hindi language and tribal literature. She stated that tribal literature was very unique in nature. "We have to first understand the tribal philosophy and phenomenon for writing tribal literature. Along with other languages, preservation of our own mother tongue is very important in contemporary era," she said.
