ITANAGAR: IMC Mayor Tame Phassang along with Itanagar district unit BJP President Tarh Soping attended the Itanagar District-cum-Mandal executive meeting held at Sudharth hall near here on Saturday.

Addressing the meeting, Tame Phassang assured to help the district BJP workers in block levels in any means to take up matters relating to the development of sectors within the capital complex.

He said that his home will remain open every Sunday to address their problems.

Phassang said the concerns of the workers irrespective of any political party should be prior approved by the district party president so that formality is being maintained.

Phassang also specifically said that the party workers should work for the welfare of people and then for the individual. There should be an approach of disciplined work ideology avoiding any kind of corruption in state and central sponsored schemes.

"The party has been providing every basic need to the people living in urban and rural areas from facilities like electricity, portable drinking water, toilet etc. Sadly, all these benefits do not reach to maximum areas, which need to be checked by the Block Levels Committee (BLC) members," he said.

Let's build a strong party with an ideology to serve the people, he added.

Meanwhile, speaking to the reporters, Tarh Soping informed that the meeting was held to discuss the recently issued political resolution by the BJP on June 11 last month.

Accordingly, in the meeting, the members also accepted the resolution and passed it.

He said to continue the party works further ahead, work reports from the Morcha head, and Mandal heads were collected as well as discussed.

"The very prime objective to collect the report was to ensure the victory of the party as well as plan for a successful approach to winning in the 2024 election in the capital region," he said, adding that any loopholes found in the report will be worked on to make it strong.

Soping also advised the IMC Corporators to ensure to fulfil all the promises made in their election manifesto so that there is no question from the public in the next election.

"Corporators should work for the public as promised before the election. Unless we fulfil all public concerns it is shameful to seek votes in the next election.

Therefore, corporators should fulfil what they have promised," he added.

Among others, the meeting was also attended by party corporator Kipa Takum, Corporator Tarh Achak and party spokesperson Techi Necha and others.
