ITANAGAR: Impediment in road construction work continues at the package-IV portion of Joram-Koloriang Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH).
Speaking to the media, the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Package-IV, Dindo T informed that a few people with vested interests are repeatedly thrashing labourers, creating problems in the construction of the road stretch.
He said that unless the public supports the workers, the road can't be completed in time.
"The workers are being thrashed every day due to which they return. I appeal to the public to support the workers for the early completion of the road," he added. He said that the rumours on the shortage of manpower are false and the travelers are also not facing any problem crossing the area.
"We have sufficient manpower and machinery and the stretch will be completed in two years," he said.
He had said that anyone found obstructing the work in the Joram-Koloriang portion of Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) will be dealt with an iron hand.
