Itanagar: The Indira Gandhi Government College at Tezu in Lohit district on Tuesday organised a day-long national workshop in collaboration with Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) and Cell for Promotion & Management (CIPAM) under Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The theme of the workshop is “Intellectual Property Rights”, a press release informed here.
Principal of the college Dr Kangki Megu highlighted the importance of Intellectual Property Rights, especially in the field of copyrights and patenting.
He lauded the Idu tribe for patenting their indigenous food and costume.
Dr Megu expressed high optimism that the workshop would greatly aware the students, faculty of the college and the delegates on various dimensions of the Intellectual Property Rights.
Resource persons from KSCST Hemant Kumar, Executive Secretary Dr Vijay Kumar, Chief Scientific Officer Vivek Anand Sagar, Consultant and IP Attorney along with Dr Nandani Dohlipat, visiting professor RIWATCH, Roing deliberated on various aspects of the Intellectual Property Rights.
The students and faculty of the college as well as delegates from JN College Pasighat and Government Model College Roing, also participated in the workshop, the release added.
