Itanagar Additional District Magistrate Talo Potom warned wine shops on online ads

ITANAGAR: Additional District Magistrate of Itanagar Talo Potom warned wine shop owners in the twin capital city to refrain from online marketing of alcohol during the lockdown.

Potom on Monday visited one wine shop at Ganga Market who had advertised on Facebook for home delivery of alcohol.

Speaking to the reporters, Potom informed that he was asked by the Deputy Commissioner to inspect the wine shop and take action accordingly on home delivery of alcohol.

“Through formal investigation, it was known that some unidentified person had uploaded the advertisement in Facebook,” he said.

He also informed that the owner of the wine shop has confirmed that they have not published such advertisement in Facebook and an FIR has also been lodged in the nearest police station by the wine shop owner.
