Khonsa West MLA Chakat Aboh meets Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona

Itanagar: Newly elected Khonsa West MLA Chakat Aboh on Friday called on Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona at his office chamber here. Aboh won the Khonsa West Assembly by-election as independent candidate.

The bye-poll was necessitated following the murder of incumbent MLA and Chakat’s husband - late Tirong Aboh, who had retained the seat in the April 2019 election on NPP (National People’s Party) ticket.

While congratulating Aboh for her win, Sona extended his best wishes for her future endeavours.

The Speaker will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Chakat Aboh at the Assembly premises here on Monday, an Assembly release informed here on Saturday.
