SEPPA: In a bid to promote education and to equip the students with modern method of learning technology, the State Government on Sunday awarded 11 students of Class IX, 10 students of Class X and 85 girl students who have recently passed the class XII exams of East Kameng district with laptops and smartphones under the Acharya Dronacharya Gurukul Yojana (ADGY) and Chief Ministers Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY).
The programme was organized by the district education department in collaboration with the district administration here at GHSS Bazarline, Seppa.
Enlightening the students about the pros and cons of today’s world, Project Director (DRDA) Dahey Sangno advised the achievers and the student community to use the distributed gadgets and the latest technology judiciously and meticulously for skill enrichment, knowledge advancement and education purposes only.
Highlighting about the profile of job vacancy and limitations and saturation of white-collar jobs, he exhorted the student community to become employable by skilling themselves utilizing information technology and urged them to venture into newer avenues of self-employment and entrepreneurship and become master sof their own enterprises.
Pronouncing that education is the only mantra to resolve any problem, Sangno exhorted the students to behave as child prodigy and urged them to imbibe good character and discipline in life. Affirming that education plays a vital role in making a nation strong, he further urged the parents and guardians to give importance to better and proper education of their children and wards.
