LIKABALI: Likabali MLA Kardo Nyigyor on Sunday reviewed the ongoing 60-km Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road spread across Balisori, Siloni and Durpai under Kangku circle Lower Siang district.

Stating that the project was significant for many villages in the foothills of Assam-Arunachal boundary, Nyigyor directed the RWD officials and contractors to complete the project on time without compromising the quality. He further appealed to the people of Assam, where a significant chunk of the project falls, not to hinder the project. Clarifying that the road project, once completed, would not be considered a boundary between the two neighboring States, the PPA MLA urged the people to help complete the PMGSY road, which is meant to connect the remote villages. Nyigyor said he would soon talk to his Assam counterpart to sort out the differences while also informing that a DC and SP-level meeting of the two States would be held soon for the smooth operation of the road project.

Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner Marto Riba, RWD executive engineer Deli Kambu, DLRSO Chogge Nyodu, DPO Henge Riba, and ZPM Nichi Ngomle accompanied MLA Nyigyor. Dolok Bango Welfare Society organized the joint PMGSY road inspection programme.
