ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Environment and Forest Minister Mama Natung on Thursday inspected the construction site of Arunachal Bhavan at Rupnagar in Guwahati and reviewed the status of the progress of the project with DRC Guwahati, site engineer of PWD, contractor of the project and executive members of Guwahati Arunachal Students' Union (GASU).
He also convened a coordination meeting with the GASU at the City Guest House, Hatigaon to interact with them on their memorandum whereby GASU has been demanding early completion of the Arunachal Bhavan Guwahati project.
Interacting with GASU, the minister apprised that the government is fully committed to completing the project in time and therefore, he visited the site to see the progress of works.
He instructed the executing agency and contractor to ensure the quality of work and complete the building by May next year enabling to make the Arunachal Bhavan operational soon.
During interaction with GASU members, he advised them to focus primarily on their studies and participate in a positive way in the all-around development of the state.
Natung assured the GASU that he would take up their proposal of a separate guest house at Guwahati exclusively for the accommodation of referral patients of the state.
