Meet On Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme For holistic Nourishmen (POSHAN) Held in State

ITANAGAR: A meeting on block convergence action plan under Prime Minister’s overarching scheme for holistic nourishmen (POSHAN) abhiyaan was held on Tuesday at Tawang under the chairmanship of DC Sang Phuntsok.

Speaking to the departmental heads the DC said that the convergence mission is with the vision to ensure attainment of malnutrition free India by 2022 and it mainly focuses on child health by reducing under nutrition, an official communiqué informed.

“The government is working on providing better health to its citizens and all the executing agencies of government schemes should take this on missionary mode. There should be no stone unturned to achieve maximum benefits of this scheme,” the DC added.

Earlier, Tawang CDPO Dondup Pema, explained about the aim, purpose, convergence with other programmes, key themes, block level convergence action plan under Kyidphel and Tawang block and activities to be taken up by the departments. She also spoke about Jan Andolan activities for Poshan Maah, its scheduled activities and suggested activities. The Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutritional week) is being celebrated from September 1 till September 30.
