Itanagar: The second edition of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) was launched on Monday at Doimukh Community Health Centre (CHC) by Arunachal Pradesh Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang.
The minister also administered OPV to the beneficiaries on the occasion.
Papum Pare district Medical Officer (DMO) Dr Subu Tasso Kampu highlighted the objectives of the programme and informed that her district is an IMI district as it could not reach the immunization target coverage of 90 per cent.
“IMI-2 aims to cover all the drop-out, missed-out, refusal children and pregnant women to achieve the 90 per cent target by the end of the programme,” the DMO said.
She said to achieve the target everyone has to own the programme and perform the activities sincerely and dedicatedly.
The district has 133 identified children, 36 pregnant women as targeted beneficiary involving 25 nurses in 55 IMI sessions in the second edition.
The IMI-2 will continue upto March 2020 which will be conducted a week every month. IMI is basically about augmentation of routine Immunization activity, an official release informed here.
