PASIGHAT: Arunachal Pradesh's Education Minister Taba Tedir on Tuesday reviewed various schemes sponsored by the Central and State Government in the East Siang district and interacted with the beneficiaries.

The meeting, convened by the East Siang district administration, was held at the Pasighat Siang Guest House conference hall.

Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, ADC Tatdo Borang, PD (DRDA) Tajing Padung, HoOs and bank officials attended the meeting and presented detailed reports through power point presentation on implementation and achievement of projects/schemes, during the review meeting. Tedir, who is also Guardian Minister, informed that his purpose of visiting the district was to have an in-depth knowledge about the implementation of Government sponsored schemes across the district.

He suggested creation of visible assets and also taking up of livelihood activities to help the commoners to increase their income.

While evaluating all the projects being carried out by several departments, Tedir instructed the officers to increase their field visits which, according to him, would help them in better assessment as well as creating awareness among the beneficiaries. He called for quality and timely implementation of all schemes, adding that the flow of fund should not be discontinued due to non-implementations of schemes.

The Minister further urged the Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu for stringent vigil on all ongoing construction works to ensure that the assets developed come into public utility.

The visiting Minister distributed certificates to the beneficiaries under KCC, Mudra Loan, PM Svanidhi, CMWRS, NLM (goatery), Ujawala Scheme etc., on the occasion.
