Itanagar: The District Disaster Management Authority of Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, on Friday organized disaster awareness programme and a Mock Drill exercise on earthquake and fire accident at General Hospital Khonsa.
The mock drill was conducted under the supervision of District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) P Duggong, an official communiqué informed here.
The drill was participated by the staff of general Hospital Khonsa under the leadership of District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr K Mosang and Hospital Superintendent Dr K Socia.
The police and fire service personnel also participated in the programme.
Duggong while addressing the occasion stated that such awareness programme and drill would be carried out in all major government establishment of the district including DC office, ADC office at Deomali and chief conservator of forest office at Deomali besides various schools. Tirap Superintendent of Police K Riba while participating in the exercise appreciated the teams for their performance and advised them to make such drill in regular interval and take all precautionary measures to avoid any mishap during such drill.
Earlier on the day, a similar programme was conducted in the divisional office of PWD where assistant engineer T Maji appreciated the team for conducting the awareness programme.
Maji advised the staff to remember all the safety tips learned and also share with family and friends for a safer society, the communiqué added.
