ITANAGAR: Former Chief Minister of the State Nabam Tuki and Mebo MLA Lombo Tayeng has been appointed as the new president of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader of the State respectively here at Congress office on Monday. It is the third term of Nabam Tuki as APCC president of the State. Addressing media persons, Tuki said that with the appointment as the new president of APCC, we are committed to work hard to rebuild and strengthen the party and its image too. “As we are experienced, our experience will contribute a lot for the development of the State and the greater interest of the people,” he added.
He said that the achievement and development that the State has witnessed is all due to the Congress party. It was the effort of Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi to recognize the State from a Union Territory to an independent State.
