Naharlagun Police Station sealed; Nine cops found COVID-19 positive

ITANAGAR: Altogether nine new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected from Naharlagun Police Station on Monday. The district administration has restricted entry and exit in the police station. The area is put under containment for 14 days.

Capital SP Tumme Amo informed that with the nine new case, the Naharlagun Police Station has 18 COVID-19 positive police personnel including one Sub Inspector. He added that the nine police personnel have been shifted to COVID Care Centre (CCC) at Lekhi for institutional quarantine." Altogether 21 police personnel have been detected COVID-19 positive so far in the Capital Complex. Among them, three have recovered," he added.

The SP also said that the Naharlagun Police Station has temporarily been sealed. However, official work like receiving FIRs will continue. But no one will be allowed to enter the premises. "Any kind of complaints and FIR will be received by the officer concerned from the gate. No one will be allowed to enter the station for safety reasons," he pointed out.
