ITANAGAR: Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh is all set to host a C20 Summit from June 9.
The four-day event in Namsai is anticipated to host 150 attendees from several nations, official sources informed here on Tuesday. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who represents the district, convened a review meeting with various officials and stakeholders on Monday to discuss the preparation of conveyance, reception, cultural display and arrangement of accommodations for the guests and the venue for conducting all the important events.
Mein advised the officials and stakeholders to ensure on-time completion of all preparations for the reception of the C20 delegates and for grand success of the event. The deputy chief minister also inspected all the places for accommodation of delegates and venues for hosting of all important conferences and meetings to be held during the summit. He advised that there should not be any lacunas regarding the stay of the delegates.
Mein visited the model villages - Jona-I and Empong, which were selected for the proposed visit of C20 delegates, where they would have a glimpse of the rural lives of Arunachal Pradesh. He advised the villagers and directed them to maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene in their villages.
