NCC Training Camp Gets Underway At The Police Training Centre in Banderdewa

BANDERDEWA: A ten-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) is being conducted by 1APBn NCC at the Police Training Centre in Banderdewa.

Commanding Officer of 1APBN NCC, Col RK Sharma said that the training was formally inaugurated on Tuesday and will conclude on the September 5. He informed that around 500 cadets, both boys and girls from various schools and colleges from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam are participating in the camp.

He said that the aim of the camp is to introduce cadets to a disciplined military life and inculcate basic qualities of leadership, camaraderie and national integration. “In the span of ten days, the cadets will be imparted routine physical activities which will include physical training, drill, yoga, and aerobics & Zumba,” he said while adding that the cadets will be introduced to training on weapons handling, map reading, field craft, leadership, social awareness, social service community development and personality development.

He also informed that to train those cadets and to conduct various activities five teachers from schools and colleges accompanying the cadets as Associate NCC Officer and caretaker officer along with 20 Army personnel will also participate in the camp under his supervision.
