ITANAGAR: The New Zealand Aviation Academy has announced the establishment of a pilot training academy at Hollongi in Arunachal Pradesh. The announcement, made by state Chief Minister Pema Khandu via X, formerly Twitter, has garnered significant attention and excitement among aviation enthusiasts and the local community. The tweet, shared by Khandu, celebrated the collaboration between the New Zealand Aviation Academy and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
AAI has generously provided the land on lease for the academy's development, marking a significant step towards bolstering aviation infrastructure in the region, Khandu said. "Great news for aspiring pilots! New Zealand Aviation Academy shall be setting up a pilot training academy at Hollongi, Arunachal Pradesh. @AAI_Official has provided the land on lease for the academy. Our youngsters won't have to go out for training. Congratulations," Khandu added.
