PASIGHAT: Pasighat west MLA Ninong Ering, on Thursday, inaugurated the PSA (pressure swing adsorption) oxygen-generator plant, initiated by the state government and installed by UNICEF in the CHC Ruksin FRU.
The inauguration was also attended by ZPM Aruni Jamoh, Medical Officer Incharge Dr. Kadum Jonnom, host doctors, staff and leaders.
The production capacity of this oxygen generation plant is one hundred liters per minute.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ering stated that in the second wave, the people witnessed a massive shortfall of oxygen supply in the country.
Here appreciated UNICEF approach and the initiative of the state government for helping the FRU Ruksin to meet the requirements of oxygen PSA generator plant.
He said the installation of PSA is an appropriate solution to all the logistics challenges faced in facilitating medical requirements.
"There is a constant high demand for oxygen in hospitals and it will enable the FRU Ruksin to upgrade other hospital facilities, thereby strengthening the health care system. I extend my thanks for timely intervention and support by the Pema Khandu led state government in installing this Oxygen PSA generator plant here and look forward to continued support in future," he added.
Ering appealed the state's Health Minister Alo Libang to make the CHC more convenient and appreciated efforts and leadership of Dr. Kadum Jonnom. Medical Officer Incharge of Ruksin CHC (FRU) Dr. Kadum Jannom said that earlier the hospital had to get oxygen from Dibrugarh or Lakhimpur of the neighboring state Assam and now with the installation of oxygen production plant, patients would get a lot of relief here.
